— Machine learning is often associated with the few studios that can afford dedicated research teams, but now with WildMeta’s technology and its new Unity and Unreal Engine integrations, machine learning-based bots are more accessible than ever.

Following the footsteps of leading machine learning research organisations, WildMeta went out of stealth in January 2021 and unveiled its own framework to build machine learning-based bots capable of playing video games and react naturally to their environment. …

Presenting at Pocker Gamer Connects

Hi everyone,

We have been active on social media sharing our progress, promoting our most recent public (virtual) appearances and commenting on the news, it’s actually been quite some time since our last blog post!

The past few months have been quite hectic for us, in a good way! We’ve been speaking to a large number of video game studios and looking to spread the word about our technology, especially show its benefits for game developers and answer any assumptions/questions they may have on machine learning.

Here is a summary of our most recent features, talks and events!

We started the year with a new website, a new approach, our first technical…

At WildMeta we want to bring machine learning techniques to modern video games.

In 2019, OpenAI Five defeated Dota 2 world champions with their reinforcement learning-based AIs. The same year, DeepMind applied a similar approach to create AlphaStar and achieve Grandmaster level at Starcraft II.

Inspired by these works on competitive video games, we realised that there was more than beating world-class players and that AI could be used to improve players’ experience and help game developers.

For the past few months, we have been focusing on developing our core technology. We used Dota 2, one of the most popular…

New year, new profile picture

This is already the time of the year when we all reflect on the past 12 months, start fresh new to-do lists and set (sometimes unreasonable) expectations and goals for the year to come.

I have to say, looking at my year in review’s post from last year is strange. Of course, there is Covid and the successive lockdowns that impacted everyone’s life, but that’s not only that I wasn’t able to do some things, I feel my mindset and priorities have also changed in some way.

As you may remember, in my post from last year…

Last December I decided to embark on a new adventure. After supporting early-stage tech founders for almost 10 years, being involved (and trying to get into) the investment space and being asked way too many times when I would start my own startup journey… I eventually did it and today I am the proud CEO & co-founder of WildMeta.

What made me tick?

It wasn’t what but whom! I met my co-founder 6 years ago and pretty quickly knew I wanted to be involved in whatever he wanted to build. However, during these 6 years, we faced some timing issues…

2019 has been as interesting as weird for me, I have been looking to switch side of the table and join the investment side of the startup scene… and this has been quite a rollercoaster!

I started 2019 knowing that this would not be an easy year and that I should be super pro-active and intentional about everything I do, starting with expanding my network and reconnecting with the London startup scene.

To keep it short, in a year I have met with more than 35 VCs, became a scout at Backed VC, got involved in #MovingForward as EU co-lead…

In 2018 I was busy taking part in an adventure, in 2019 I’ll be hustling to reach my goals.

Hi everyone! 👩‍💻
I hope you had a fantastic time this holiday season 🎉! The new year is already here and as I am also closing another chapter of my career, I thought it was time to write another Year in review.

While last year’s post was focused on my achievements, this time I’d like to look at the future and take some time to explain some of my recent career choices (spoiler alert, I just left the project I was…

At Streamr, we’re very lucky to have an amazing community. This includes everyone from token holders to developers and enthusiasts for decentralization and distributed ledgers. One thing that unites just about everyone is their belief in our vision of a democratic realtime data economy. It’s thanks to them that we’re able to drive our project forward, develop our ideas and begin building up our ecosystem for both the Marketplace and the nascent Network. Needless to say, this ever-growing community can be found in a wide variety of places online, all of which tend to attract different audiences. So, if you’re…

We’re very happy to announce our very first Rocket Chat Hero of the Month. Please put your hands together for Nathan Sgarlata!

How to be a hero

Every month, we’re rewarding users on our Rocket Chat who we feel have contributed most to our ever-growing developer community. This contribution can come in many wonderful shapes and sizes. You might have created an imaginative use case or interesting project, or maybe you’ve shared some especially interesting insights or been uber active answering questions. …

Last December I wanted to do a review of the previous year but as I started getting involved in new projects, I completely passed the date. I didn’t want to let this happen twice so here we are! Actually, a lot of things changed since last year, I have been involved in various exciting projects, have been more active than ever in communities and took some career changing decisions.

JANUARY — Big plan ahead

Last January feels ages ago. Back then I was part of a co-working space and accelerator for VR/AR startups as one of the founding members as…
